Moving Mao

Opening soon at Hong Kong coffee bar & desserterie Epoch is The Moving Mao, an experimental video projection by Henry Chu. The work involves an image of Mao that blurs and warps in a sensory response to its audience, continuing the artist's work in converting body movements into visual images. Chu has been working as an arisit in Hong Kong since 1998 when he returned from New Zealand after completing an Engineering degree at the University of Auckland. The Moving Mao is organised by Videotage a Hong Kong-based umbrella organisation for promotion, presentation and circulation of new media art. Check out http://www.vt.org.hk
