Dialect at The Engine Room



The image above is a photo of some paintings by Arie Hellendoorn that was part of recent exhibition Dialect at the Engine Room. Taking various different looks at the use or medium of portraiture the exhibition featured work by Hellendoorn, Julian Bishop, Daniel Shaw and Eugenius Van Penseel. The Engine Room was established in late 2005 on the Massey Wellington University Campus by the School of Fine Arts with a goal of creating a new site for innovative and experimental art.

Access to the Engine Room is via Entrance C, upper Taranaki St, Eastern Corner Block 1

Black Boned Angel and Friends to perform at the SFBH

A night of experimental sound and noise is set to ensue at Wellington’s San Francisco Bath House this Saturday, March 7. Line-up features disco/doom merchants The Postures, Wellington Noise stalwarts and rising stars The Stumps, local post-rockers The Dukes of Leisure and experimental sound group Black Boned Angel, comprising Campbell Kneale (Birchville Cat Motel), Jules Desmond and James Kirk.
